Caring for your oak sapling

When you receive your oak sapling, it's vital that you remove it from the packaging as soon as possible.

The sapling has been sent with soil around the root system, which will have retained moisture by being wrapped in a biodegradable plastic wrapper, covered by a small hessian sack.

Prepare a small hole in the ground where you would like your tree to grow, ensuring it's at least 2 metres away from any buildings, structures or other plants and trees. This will enable the trees root system to develop properly, and prevent any issues with building footings or other plants root systems.
